I am a Finnish 100m hurdles national record holder with 12.72. I am back competing in hurdles and better than ever after being sick for years and having been told multiple times that I can never run again.
My goal for the “comeback” in 2017 was just to have fun and run under 14 seconds, but it ended up going so well that the goal turned into making my old dream true: Running under 13 seconds and representing Finland in major championships.
Now I have already made all of the dreams come true! I represented Finland in 2018 European Championships, made it to the semifinals at 2019 World Championships and I have qualified to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics! I also broke the Finnish 100m hurdles national record with 12.72!
